We are open again

We are very happy to announce that we have now reopened three of our four clinics for face to face appointments. We have spent the last few weeks busily preparing, writing risk assessments and sourcing PPE so that we can keep our team and our patients as safe as possible. In order to do this we have made some changes to the way we work.

New patients

After booking your first appointment, your chiropractor may choose to give you a call before your appointment to briefly discuss your case. This simply allows us to get some key information from you before coming into the clinic so as to reduce the time you spend in the building.

Pre-treatment screening

On arrival, you will be asked to wait outside the clinic until a receptionist comes meet you. They will then ask if you have any of the following symptoms:

  • A fever – this means you feel hot to touch on the chest or back and does not require you to have taken your temperature
  • A new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or three or more coughing episodes in 24 hours. If you already have a cough, this may have worsened.
  • Any loss or changes in your sense of smell or taste

We will then take your temperature using an infrared ear thermometer.

Reduced footfall

We have changed our schedules so that we only have one chiropractor working in a clinic at any one time. We are also reducing the number of patients we see per hour. These measures will allow us to operate a one in one out system within the clinics.

Increased cleaning

We will be using the increased time between patients to thoroughly disinfect the treatment table, door handles and other high touch surfaces. We will also be performing more frequent disinfection of high touch surfaces in the clinic such as door handles, banisters, reception desk and bathrooms. We will provide hand sanitiser to all patients on entry and exit to the building (hand washing facilities will be provided if you have an aversion to sanitiser).

Changes to treatment

Chiropractors will be carrying out a case by case risk assessment and may choose to change or omit certain treatment techniques or modalities if they are deemed to increase risk. This may include not undressing for treatment and reducing supine (face up) treatment. Chiropractors will be wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for treatment; we may also offer/ask you to wear a face covering for your appointment. If you have one, please bring it with you. We have removed all soft furnishings from the rooms meaning you will be asked to sit straight on the treatment table when you enter the room rather than a chair.

Do not linger

We will be processing payment in advance of treatment and the chiropractor will be booking your next appointment in the treatment room. We are not currently taking cash but have contactless card facilities. This process will enable you to leave the clinic as soon as your appointment is finished, reducing the time spent in communal areas.
