Our Approach

Most of our patients present to us initially because they are in pain. As such this is usually our first focus- to get you out of pain. We take a full history and perform a through examination, which gives us a clear view of what is causing the pain. By using gentle chiropractic adjustments and where necessary, soft tissue therapies and exercises, we are able to restore normal function of the musculoskeletal system, reducing pain and reducing the risk of recurrence of injury. Once proper function has been restored to the body, we then believe in active wellbeing (often referred to as wellness) or put more simply, taking steps to optimise health and prevent disease, rather than just waiting to react when things go wrong. This is where chiropractic can play a major role. Not will you get adjustments from your chiropractor, but the two of you will work together to adapt lifestyle, diet and exercise, so that you can get the most out of your own body.

One of the first things people notice with chiropractic treatment is that their pain is less, or that their movement is freer. However after a few weeks, we often hear people saying things like “I haven’t slept this well in years”, or that there stress levels have been much more manageable, or simply “I just feel better”. It is this response, which shows us the importance and the power of chiropractic care.

We believe that regular chiropractic care promotes that sense of wellbeing. All of our team, and their nearest and dearest receive regular adjustments, and most of our patients agree once they have seen the effect of what we do. The regularity with which you come in will depend on your needs and goals, and this is something your chiropractor will work with you to find out. Some people only need to come in every few months, whilst others come in every few weeks.
